    Farewell, Rexburg

Hmmm...yeah, so it's been awhile. First of all, I'd just like to announce that I have GRADUATED!!!! Yessss! I'll get some pictures up soon, I promise. Right now I have quite a few things that I need to get taken care of before that happens.

But on another note, let me reflect a bit on my time here in Idaho. College Ave. is one of the best places on earth, I've decided. I've spent the better part of 7 years on the BYU-Idaho campus, and I must say that I will miss this place terribly, despite previous complaints of weather and whatnot. You can't beat the spirit you find when you come here. This is truly a special place on earth, and there really is no other like it.

It's been my home for a long time, and I think I will cry when I leave. It would be a terrible injustice to rejoice in leaving such a blessed place. I have truly loved every minute I've spent here, even if I haven't always appreciated it. I may have complained about the weather quite a few times, but even then I loved it. It's been a challenge I wouldn't mind repeating.

    REXBURG, I WILL MISS YOU!!!

Or perhaps, it would be more appropriate to say that I will miss all the wonderful friends I'm leaving behind. As I told somebody earlier today, if I hadn't made any new friends in the last coupld of months, I wouldn't be so sad to leave here. But even then, that's not entirely true. I will miss seeing things that remind me of memories made and good times had.

I love this place. So much good is here! I will cry when I leave, but I will smile, too. I'll smile because I know that I'll be going on to new and exciting things. The buck doesn't stop here, and neither should I. Yes, Rexburg is a wonderful place, but so is the world! And there's so much of it that I haven't seen yet. It's waiting for me to go and discover it.

I will discover the ends of the earth, the four corners of the world; and I'll even re-discover my own backyard, too. Yes, the world is a wonderful place, and I get to live in it :o).

Thank you friends, roommates, and teachers who have taught me so much since I've been here. Some of you I may not recall so easily as the years go by, but I will never forget the lessons learned: true friendship, love of learning, and enjoying what's been given to me while it's here.

Thank you, Rexburg, for being here in this isolated place. I wouldn't have it any other way.
