    Wedded Bliss

My older brother got married this past Saturday, and what a celebration it was!  I was dancing in 4-inch heels most of the time, so I didn't take a whole bunch of pictures.  But if my cousins deliver the promised pics that they took, I'll put those up when I get them.  But for now, it's just the ones from my camera.

The wedding itself was a sweet ceremony, nice and short, and you could tell that Edmundo (my brother) just adores his bride :o).  It was a lot of fun to have most of the family there, even though we were missing about 23 people or so.  But I love my loud Puerto Rican fam!  They make everything fun ;o).  So enjoy the pictures!

    Blahness

I went shopping yesterday with my good friend Gina, and I found the PERFECT dress for my brother's wedding on Saturday.  There are no words to describe how perfect this dress is, so I'll just put up some pictures after Saturday.  I even found the jewelry to go with it, and today I got the cutest shoes!  Now all I need is a hot date...I wonder if my friend Matt is working on Saturday? ;o)

A little bit of bad news: I came back from shopping yesterday to find that my mother had accidentally backed up my car into a tree, so now there's a dent in the back bumper where there had been none before.  My perfect little Ladybug ain't so perfect no more :o(  Sad day.  But other than that, the week has been kind of "meh".  I'm hoping that things will get better after Thanksgiving, but knowing my family, that's a long shot.

    More Weddings...

So today I got to go to the Texas Renaissance Festival, which I haven't been to in about 9 years.  But it wasn't just for a leisurely trip; oh, no.  I went because a good friend of mine was getting married at the Festival!  Her name is Lonnie, and it's always been her dream to have a fairy tale wedding, and she got it today :o).  And I finally got to wear my renaissance costume that I made 8 years ago for the festival, to the festival.  Everybody wins ;o).

It was a lot of fun to go to the ren fest again, after so much time of not being able to go.  My friend Chris went with me, too.  It was his first time at any ren fest of any kind, and he got to go to the biggest and best one in the U.S.A.: the TEXAS Renaissance Festival.  As the saying goes, everything is bigger in Texas! ;o).

So the wedding was fun, I got to wear my costume and see the festival again, and I got to enjoy the delightful company of my good friend Chris.  I've been bitten by the ren fest bug, yet again.  Next weekend is the last weekend the fest will be open for the season, and I won't be able to attend because of Mundy's wedding.  But I'm making plans for next year's festival, fo sho!  I'm going to try and go at least 3 weekends so that I can catch all the shows and see all the shops and enjoy all the games.  I might even open up a special savings account for my spending funds at the festival.  That way I can go crazy on cloaks and boots and accessories ;o).  They have the best stuff there!

Oh, now I can't wait for next year's festival to come soon enough!  LOL

    Wedding Jitters

November is the month for weddings!  I have a friend getting married this Saturday, my older brother gets married next Saturday, and the roommate John just got married on Tuesday; not to mention John's mom got married last week, and my cousin Maria had 2 other wedding to attend this month before Edmundo's next week!  And I thought June was a bride's month.

It's been murder trying to find a date for my brother's wedding, too.  I guess Thanksgiving week is one of the worst times to try and set up a date.  I've already asked 8 people so far, and I've only gotten one soft maybe.  2 of the other maybes were just courtesy mabeys, and there were 5 definite no's.  I should've expected this, considering that it's a holiday week, but half of the guys I've asked are from here!  You would think they would be in town.  Well, one will be, but he might have to work, and he didn't seem too keen on trying to get the day off to help me out.  Some friends I have, eh?  I'm thinking I might just happen to "disappear" for the evening, and show up some time Sunday for choir practice ;o).  Who knows.  Maybe one of the guys will have a change of heart?  Hopefully.

    Yay!

Huzzah!!!  I have my computer back!  And since I'm all up and running again, I"m going to upload some new pictures.  Ok, well not really so new; a lot of these are from the summer.  But still, new to you! ;o)
